The Gadget Show Live 2011 was an event on the gadget calender that no tech fan should have missed. There was a variety of products on offer from various manufacturers that ranged from Quad Bikes to Gaming PCs. There was literally a gadget for everybody, no one was left out. There were plenty of interactive product demos that people could experience such as Xbox Kinect & the fantastic Toob (Think Out of Box) dome display. I myself participated in the Toob demo racing a rally car round a course in the very popular DiRT 2 PC game.
Many manufacturers were exhibiting there latest tech products to consumers. Samsung Electronics (Stand C3) brought along a slew of new & exciting televisions, mobile phones, tablet computers & home utilities. The TV line they were showing off was the Samsung D8000 series. This series features the ultra slim 'One Design', LED backlight technology, 3D Vision & Samsung's SmartTV system. SmartTV is rather exciting, it's basically a way of integrating uncommon content (ie: apps & games) into TVs. For example, Samsung's line of SmartTVs offer the ability to access apps on the Samsung Apps service & allows for users to access a rich, Flash enabled web experience without having to include further devices. Also, SmartTV allows users to video chat to family or friends using a Samsung Skype camera & the Skype app. Furthermore, the Samsung television D8000 series supports full HD & full 3D content, also allowing for 2D content to be upscaled to 3D.
Samsung also showcased their Galaxy super & smartphone and tablet families. Their Galaxy Smartphone line up included Galaxy Gio, Galaxy Ace and the super Galaxy S II. I got a chance to experience the Galaxy S II and I was blown away! The 1.2GHz dual core processor made the phone super quick & snappy! I demoed the 8 megapixel camera as well and was pleased with the shooters productions both in photos & in 1080p Full HD video.
More coming soon!
