Need For Speed World
(Free, Online Orientated PC Racing Game)
The Need For Speed franchise has existed & has been evolving for the past 17 years. The franchise as a whole has sold over 100 million copies as of October 2009 with it being one of the most successful game franchises ever to exist. The whole concept of tuning and pimping cars to race through jam-packed streets at break-neck speeds, has really captured the attention of the aimed generation. It is this that has been the key to the series' success over the years.

Need For Speed World is the first game in the franchise to be publicly available to download free of charge straight from EA themselves. It is also unusual that there is no retail boxed version of the game, just the free, downloadable version. World is also not available on consoles either due to the fact that it is meant to be played in conjunction with major NFS titles (like Shift & Hot Pursuit) not to replace them.

One of the brilliant things about NFS World is that you don't need an ultra powerful i7 gaming rig to run it! I play the game on a laptop with an Intel Pentium Dual Core T4200 @ 2.00GHz, 3GB of DDR2 800MHz RAM and a horrible Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics processor, & it runs perfectly fluently, with nice crisp graphics at native resolution (1366x768) with details on medium. Take it above that however (High or Maximum detail levels) & the game will become too laggy to be classed as playable. Still, the point is you don't have to have the best tech to get this game to run great, just avoid anything below a GMA X3100 in the graphics department.

Need For Speed World does a fantastic job in integrating online play into a nice, streamlined package. As soon as you hit the 'Enter World' button, you are connected in a massive open world environment with lots of other real racers around you. There is automatically a chat box in the bottom left hand corner of the screen that lets you chat to the other drivers around you; although this can be hidden if required. In the bottom right hand corner of the screen we find the speedometer & mini maps. These come in handy when navigated the huge open environment. The game works on a level system - the more races you complete, the higher you place in those races, the more you increase the amount of points you receive. Points go towards increasing you driver level, previously capped at 10 for those people that didn't have the starter kit, now it has been uncapped, so that you can progress through the game with new cars and upgrades. The game is presented very nicely & is something that you actually look forward to playing. Having said all of that, some hardcore driving fans may be left disappointed wanting more simulation, this game is not meant to rival the likes of Gran Turisimo 5 or Forza Motorsport 3 in terms of simulation. This game is fantastic for casual gamers.

Need For Speed World is definitely one of the best NFS games available to date. It's free price tag & minimal system requirements mean that almost anyone can enjoy what this title has to offer. Hardcore gamers shouldn't take this game as a simulation as it is designed to be a fun but realistic driving title. IObit Game Booster 2.3 Review
IObit Game Booster 2.3 is a fantastic Windows program that has been designed to speed up the performance of games that you play on your PC. Game Booster achieves this by ending unnecessary background processes & services to increase the amount of free RAM & CPU power available to the game. This becomes very useful when you try to play games on integrated graphics chips that lack the power & performance of dedicated graphics cards.

Game Booster features a very simple and easy to use interface that offers a lot of punch without bloating the experience. On the main tab one central button exists that when clicked initiates the boost process. The software also allows users to check & update game drivers, download & install useful software, defragment game directories, tweak the system and view game tools. Anybody will be able to use Game Booster, no skill is required to operate the utility.

Game Booster is a free download although a Premium paid version is available to purchase as well. The free edition offers basic boosting performance for the average user but for hardcore gamers who require more tweaking options then the premium offering is the one for them.

Game Booster is a must have for any PC gamer, great hardware or not. With this utility you can finally use integrated graphics processors to play modern games at low to medium settings without lag or glitches.
